What to expect during a Massage Treatment?
During a massage treatment at The Spa, you will choose one of Aveda’s Compositions to be used during your treatment. After disrobing to your comfort level, you will get comfortable on the table and begin to relax. Each session begins and ends differently depending on your personal consultation, however all treatments include the use of warm steam towels to help aid in tension release as well as promote a deeper sense of relaxation. Once your treatment has ended, you may take your time getting dressed and speak with the therapist about any recommendations or follow-up suggestions she might have. Remember to drink plenty of water throughout the next 48 hours as a massage increases circulation and lymph and can act as a detox to your body. Adequate water intake will assist in all the benefits of the massage and continue to cleanse your system.
